This paper delves into the critical role of hindcast modeling in disaster resilience and risk management, using two leading tools: Coastal Emergency Risk Assessment (CERA) and Streamline Technologies' StormWiseTM. These models help analyze past hurricanes to enhance future preparedness. CERA is renowned for large-scale storm surge predictions, while StormWiseTM specializes in local, high-resolution hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
